What purchases are allowed/not-allowed on a P-card?

 P-Card Not Allowed

1. Personal items
2. Items requiring governmental licenses or permissions or that are controlled under U.S. export controls
3. Split transactions*
4. Alcohol (beverage or otherwise)
5. Travel (airline, car rental, lodging, taxi, car services, shuttle buses, etc.)
6. Entertainment (movie tickets, sporting event tickets, etc.)
7. MetroCards, purchased for any reason
8. Food eaten off-campus for any reason (meals, receptions, etc.)
9. Food purchased for on-campus meetings where the P-Card was not approved for this type of use
10. Flowers, greeting cards, candy, fruit baskets
11. Purchases from Edible Arrangements
12. Gifts/prizes/awards of any kind
13. Gift cards and gift certificates of any kind for any reason
14. Any Promotional items with University Logo or trademark or any branded product not purchased thru an approved Licensed Vendor.
15. Fines of any kind
16. Purchases using personal PayPal accounts
17. Maintenance and Service agreements
18. On-site Equipment repairs
19. Cash advances, cash back on purchases, cash refunds on returns
20. Controlled substances
21. Live animals
22. Radioactive materials and specialty gases
23. Contracted services from an individual or 1099 vendors
24. Honorariums
25. Furniture
26. Fuel
27. Leases /Rentals
28. Insurance
29. Employee relocation and relocation related expenses
30. Catering
31. Parking
32. Charitable Contributions
33. Fees for Foreign Nationals of any kind (Visa’s etc.)
34. Online auctions (i.e. EBAY, Craigslist)
35. Groupon
36. Courier service for any items which require HIPPA compliance
37. Cloud Hosting, Cloud Storage and File Sharing services
38. Non-UWPA Vendor Purchases for: Shredding Services, Moving and Records storage; and Uniform Cleaning and/or Rental
